Aries Horoscope 2027: Your Year Month by Month and Decan by Decan

14 min readby Eztebe
Golden zodiac wheel on a starry sky: Aries, enlarged and glowing, flanked by Saturn and Neptune; Jupiter, near Leo, sends it a golden arc.

For Aries, 2027 is a year of building. Saturn has been moving through your sign since February 2026 and stays until April 13, 2028; Neptune has moved in for thirteen years. The two slowest planets in your sky are working on you, not around you: how you start things, how you make decisions, how you show up in the world. Saturn asks for structure, Neptune brings an ideal, and 2027 is the year you learn to fit one inside the other.

Meanwhile, Jupiter changes register. In Leo until July 26, it lights up your love life, your creative work and your pleasures; in Virgo after that, it takes charge of your work and your daily rhythm. Add Mars, your ruling planet, retrograde from January to April, and you have the year: a slow start, a rewarding spring, a summer that closes a chapter, a fall built on method.

Quick answer: your 2027 in five dates

January 10: Mars, your ruler, turns retrograde until April 1. April 3: Jupiter trine Saturn, from your 5th house to your sign — your best configuration of the year, followed by the Aries New Moon on the evening of April 6. July 26, 12:45 am ET: Jupiter enters Virgo, your 6th house of work. August 2: total solar eclipse in Leo, in your 5th house of love and creativity. December 23: Saturn turns direct at 21°01′ of your sign, after four and a half months of retrograde motion.

Your 2027 sky: the slow planets in your houses

A sign horoscope is read in solar houses: your sign goes in the 1st house, Taurus in the 2nd, and so on around the wheel. The slow planets stay in a house for months, sometimes years; they are what gives your 2027 its background color.

PlanetSign in 2027Your solar houseWhat it touches for you
JupiterLeo, then Virgo from July 265th house, then 6th houselove, creativity, children, pleasure → daily work, health habits, routines
SaturnAries, all year1st houseyou, your body, your drive
UranusGemini, all year3rd housecommunication, learning, siblings, short trips
NeptuneAries, all year1st houseyou, your body, your drive
PlutoAquarius, all year11th housefriends, networks, group projects
North Node / South NodeAquarius / Leo (eclipse axis)11th house / 5th housefriends, networks, group projects / love, creativity, children, pleasure

Two slow planets in your 1st house is rare: the last time Saturn crossed Aries was 1996 to 1999, and Neptune hadn’t been through since the 1860s. The effect is personal. Saturn asks you to choose what you really want to carry, keep your commitments and accept a slower pace; Neptune dissolves a self-image that no longer fits and makes you more sensitive, more intuitive, sometimes more lost. Lived well together, they give you something rare for an Aries: momentum that lasts. On the eclipse axis, your 11th house (friends, networks, group projects) opens up while your 5th house (love, creativity, children) sorts itself out.

2027 in two halves for Aries

Until July 26: pleasure. Jupiter in Leo trines your sign from your 5th house. That is the sector of what you do because you want to, not because you have to: loving, flirting, creating, playing, passing something on to a child. Jupiter hadn’t been back there since 2014–2015. The first half rewards what gives you pleasure and what you show the world: a personal project, a passion, a relationship that brings your appetite back. It starts in slow motion, with Jupiter retrograde until late on April 12, then picks up speed in spring.

After July 26: method. Jupiter moves into Virgo, your 6th house: day-to-day work, coworkers, organization, health habits. Growth changes ground. What you loved doing becomes a skill, a job, a routine that carries you instead of wearing you down. The total eclipse of August 2, in Leo, acts as the hinge: it closes the season of pleasure by making official, or bringing to an end, what played out in the first half.

Your year by decan

The slow planets advance only a few degrees a year, so they don’t touch every Aries at the same time. Your decan depends on your birth date (the dates below are the usual ones, give or take a day depending on the year; a birth chart gives the exact degree of your Sun).

DecanBorn betweenDegreesWhat touches it in 2027
1st decanMarch 21 – 300°–9°Saturn on your degrees, until January 28
Uranus in sextile, all year
Neptune on your degrees, all year
Pluto in sextile, all year
2nd decanMarch 31 – April 910°–19°Saturn on your degrees, January 28 – April 26
Jupiter in trine, February 26 – May 28
3rd decanApril 10 – 1920°–29°Jupiter in trine, until February 26
Saturn on your degrees, from April 26
Jupiter in trine, May 28 – July 26

1st decan (March 21–30): the year of inspiration

Saturn leaves your degrees at the end of January: the most demanding part of its passage, which you lived through in 2026, is behind you. That leaves Neptune, on your degrees all year, with Uranus and Pluto in sextile. It’s the combination of a decan reinventing itself without quite noticing: hunches, a need to give meaning to what you do, an urge to change your surroundings. Neptune also blurs the edges; check before you sign, and give yourself time to tell an ideal from an illusion. The sextiles from Uranus (January 15, June 6) and Pluto (June 28, October 16) to Neptune open doors for you: it’s up to you to walk through them.

2nd decan (March 31 – April 9): the most balanced year

Saturn passes back over your degrees from late January to late April, for the last time, and Jupiter supports them by trine from late February to late May. The exact Jupiter–Saturn trine of April 3 falls at 17° Aries, right in your decan, and so does the New Moon of April 6 at 16°57′: this is your moment to launch, sign, commit. What Saturn has asked you to structure since 2026 finds a concrete outlet in spring. After May, the slow planets leave you alone: a lighter second half.

3rd decan (April 10–19): the year of Saturn

It’s your turn. Saturn reaches your degrees in late April, advances to 27°53′ on August 9, backs up to 21°01′ by December 23, and won’t leave the sign until April 2028. It asks for a clear commitment: a job, a relationship, a project, a body you take care of. You aren’t alone: Jupiter supports you by trine until February 26, then from May 28 to July 26, with an exact Jupiter–Saturn trine on July 11 at 27°. Two dates call for flexibility: Mars opposite Saturn on August 29 and Mars square Saturn on December 22. The Aries Full Moon of October 15, at 21°59′, takes stock.

Aries in 2027, month by month

For each month, the dated milestones in Eastern Time (New York), then what they mean for you. House numbers are counted from your Sun sign.

January: the engine slows down

  • 7 3:53 am Venus enters Sagittarius Ā· 9th house
  • 7 3:25 pm New Moon at 17°18′ Capricorn Ā· 10th house
  • 10 8:00 am Mars turns retrograde at 10°26′ Virgo Ā· 6th house
  • 15 2:21 am Uranus sextile Neptune Ā· 3rd and 1st houses
  • 20 2:30 am Sun enters Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 22 7:17 am Full Moon at 2°15′ Leo Ā· 5th house

Mars, your ruling planet, turns retrograde on January 10 in your 6th house: work, schedules, everyday health. For an Aries, it’s the engine dropping into low gear. What you launched in December gets revisited, corrected, finished; forcing things won’t help before April. Venus in Sagittarius makes you want to travel and learn. The Full Moon of the 22nd in Leo, in your 5th house, lights up a creative project or a love story that Jupiter, also retrograde, invites you to revisit. On the 15th, the Uranus–Neptune sextile puts words to a hunch: write it down.

February: the slowest month of the year

  • 3 9:30 am Venus enters Capricorn Ā· 10th house
  • 6 10:59 am Annular solar eclipse at 17°38′ Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 8 7:22 am Uranus turns direct at 1°41′ Gemini Ā· 3rd house
  • 9 12:35 pm Mercury turns retrograde at 5°59′ Pisces Ā· 12th house
  • 18 4:33 pm Sun enters Pisces Ā· 12th house
  • 20 6:12 pm Penumbral lunar eclipse at 1°59′ Virgo Ā· 6th house
  • 21 9:15 am Mars, retrograde, returns to Leo Ā· 5th house

From February 9 to March 3, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter are all retrograde at once: don’t sign anything in a hurry, and finish rather than start. The annular eclipse of February 6, at 17°38′ Aquarius, opens a chapter in your 11th house: a new circle, a group, a collective project that pulls you toward the future. Mercury retrograde then crosses your 12th and 11th houses: a friendship to clarify, a promise to reword. On the evening of the 20th, a penumbral eclipse brushes your 6th house, and the next morning Mars backs into your 5th house: a desire put on hold, a work rhythm to rethink. Sleep more than usual.

March: your season begins, without rushing

  • 1 1:32 am Venus enters Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 3 7:34 am Mercury turns direct at 20°55′ Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 8 4:30 am New Moon at 17°35′ Pisces Ā· 12th house
  • 20 4:24 pm Sun enters Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 22 6:44 am Full Moon at 1°35′ Libra Ā· 7th house
  • 26 4:16 am Venus enters Pisces Ā· 12th house

Mercury turns direct on the 3rd: the conversations that stalled in February get moving again. The Sun enters your sign on March 20 at 4:24 pm, and your solar year begins. Yet it begins with Mars still retrograde in Leo: creativity, romance, a child or a personal project need patience until April 1. The Full Moon of the 22nd in Libra, in your 7th house, asks a simple question: in your relationship or a partnership, does the balance between what you give and what you receive work for you? Prepare; don’t launch yet.

April: the best month of your year

  • 1 10:11 am Mars turns direct at 20°56′ Leo Ā· 5th house
  • 3 9:22 am Jupiter trine Saturn Ā· 5th and 1st houses
  • 6 7:51 pm New Moon at 16°57′ Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 8 7:20 pm Mercury enters Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 12 10:13 pm Jupiter turns direct at 17°00′ Leo Ā· 5th house
  • 19 11:56 pm Venus enters Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 20 3:17 am Sun enters Taurus Ā· 2nd house
  • 20 6:27 pm Full Moon at 0°37′ Scorpio Ā· 8th house

Everything comes unstuck. Mars turns direct on April 1: your energy comes back. On the 3rd, Jupiter in Leo forms an exact trine to Saturn in your sign: what you are building with effort finally gets momentum and pleasure. The Aries New Moon on the evening of April 6 is the day of the year to set an intention, sign, start. Jupiter turns direct late on the 12th, and from then until May 8 no planet is retrograde: the smoothest window of 2027. Mercury crosses your sign from the 8th to the 24th, and Venus enters it just before midnight on the 19th: your words carry, and so does your image. On the 26th, Saturn reaches the 3rd decan.

May: money and rhythm

  • 6 6:59 am New Moon at 15°43′ Taurus Ā· 2nd house
  • 8 8:14 am Pluto turns retrograde at 7°11′ Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 14 10:47 am Mars enters Virgo Ā· 6th house
  • 14 5:01 pm Venus enters Taurus Ā· 2nd house
  • 20 6:59 am Full Moon at 29°14′ Scorpio Ā· 8th house
  • 21 2:17 am Sun enters Gemini Ā· 3rd house

Venus stays in your sign until the 14th, then moves into Taurus, your 2nd house: time to talk money, revise your rates, treat yourself to what really has value for you. The Taurus New Moon of the 6th points the same way. Mars returns to Virgo on the 14th, in your 6th house: work gets back to a normal pace, and the retrograde’s shadow lifts on the night of June 7. The Mars–Uranus square on the evening of the 28th can upend a schedule or a tool; leave yourself some margin. Pluto turns retrograde on the 8th, in your 11th house: a lasting sort-out of your group commitments begins.

June: rethinking home and words

  • 4 3:40 pm New Moon at 13°58′ Gemini Ā· 3rd house
  • 6 8:03 am Uranus sextile Neptune Ā· 3rd and 1st houses
  • 8 8:31 am Venus enters Gemini Ā· 3rd house
  • 10 2:18 pm Mercury turns retrograde at 6°22′ Cancer Ā· 4th house
  • 15 4:01 am Uranus trine Pluto Ā· 3rd and 11th houses
  • 18 8:45 pm Full Moon at 27°34′ Sagittarius Ā· 9th house
  • 21 10:10 am Sun enters Cancer Ā· 4th house
  • 28 4:34 pm Neptune sextile Pluto Ā· 1st and 11th houses

Mercury is retrograde from June 10 to July 4, from Cancer (4th house) back into Gemini (3rd house): family and housing, then conversations, commutes and paperwork. A move, renovations or a lease deserve a second read. On June 15, Uranus trines Pluto between your 3rd and 11th houses, the first of three passes running into May 2028: the way you communicate and your networks change together, through a tool, a platform, a group. Venus in Gemini, from the 8th, favors easy conversations and encounters close to home.

July: the turning point

  • 2 10:00 pm Venus enters Cancer Ā· 4th house
  • 3 11:02 pm New Moon at 11°57′ Cancer Ā· 4th house
  • 4 3:40 pm Mercury turns direct at 27°28′ Gemini Ā· 3rd house
  • 9 6:50 pm Neptune turns retrograde at 6°40′ Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 11 6:45 pm Jupiter trine Saturn Ā· 5th and 1st houses
  • 15 1:40 am Mars enters Libra Ā· 7th house
  • 18 11:45 am Full Moon at 25°49′ Capricorn Ā· 10th house
  • 22 9:04 pm Sun enters Leo Ā· 5th house
  • 26 12:45 am Jupiter enters Virgo Ā· 6th house
  • 26 9:31 am Mars opposite Neptune Ā· 7th and 1st houses
  • 27 8:29 am Venus enters Leo Ā· 5th house

Neptune turns retrograde on the evening of the 9th, in your sign: time to check what you are idealizing. On the 11th comes the second Jupiter–Saturn trine, at 27°, this time for the 3rd decan. Mars enters Libra on the 15th, in your 7th house: relationships come alive, and so do disagreements. July 26 is the pivot of your year: Jupiter moves into Virgo at 12:45 am, your 5th house closes and your 6th house opens; the same day, Mars opposes Neptune, a sign of misunderstandings with a partner. Don’t project onto the other person what you haven’t said. Venus in Leo from the 27th: romance comes back.

August: the eclipse that closes the season of pleasure

  • 2 6:06 am Total solar eclipse at 9°55′ Leo Ā· 5th house
  • 9 1:52 pm Saturn turns retrograde at 27°53′ Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 17 3:13 am Penumbral lunar eclipse at 24°04′ Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 20 3:41 pm Venus enters Virgo Ā· 6th house
  • 23 4:13 am Sun enters Virgo Ā· 6th house
  • 29 3:29 am Mars opposite Saturn Ā· 7th and 1st houses
  • 31 1:41 pm New Moon at 8°06′ Virgo Ā· 6th house

The total solar eclipse of August 2, at 9°55′ Leo, falls in your 5th house. What has been created, loved or launched since summer 2026 wraps up or becomes official: a relationship that turns serious or ends, an artistic project that comes out, a question involving a child. None of it is visible from North America: totality crosses southern Spain, North Africa and Egypt, and the next total eclipse over the contiguous United States comes on August 23, 2044. On the 9th, Saturn turns retrograde at 27°53′ of your sign: consolidate instead of adding. On the 29th, Mars opposes Saturn: fatigue or friction with a partner, so ease off.

September: work changes tools

  • 1 9:51 pm Mars enters Scorpio Ā· 8th house
  • 10 12:36 pm Jupiter square Uranus Ā· 6th and 3rd houses
  • 13 8:24 pm Venus enters Libra Ā· 7th house
  • 15 5:15 am Uranus turns retrograde at 9°57′ Gemini Ā· 3rd house
  • 15 7:04 pm Full Moon at 22°53′ Pisces Ā· 12th house
  • 23 2:01 am Sun enters Libra Ā· 7th house
  • 29 10:36 pm New Moon at 6°43′ Libra Ā· 7th house

Jupiter in Virgo squares Uranus on September 10, between your 6th and 3rd houses: a change in your work, a new method, a tool, a course, a schedule that shifts. It’s stimulating if you choose the change, unsettling if you just put up with it. Mars in Scorpio, from the evening of the 1st, in your 8th house, stirs up shared money, taxes, loans and intimacy: settle what has been dragging. Venus in Libra from the 13th brings good days for your relationship and for agreements. The Libra New Moon late on the 29th is ideal for a relationship intention or a contract.

October: the halfway review

  • 7 10:40 am Mercury turns retrograde at 4°56′ Scorpio Ā· 8th house
  • 7 11:58 pm Venus enters Scorpio Ā· 8th house
  • 15 9:47 am Full Moon at 21°59′ Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 15 7:13 pm Mars enters Sagittarius Ā· 9th house
  • 16 2:03 pm Neptune sextile Pluto Ā· 1st and 11th houses
  • 17 11:51 pm Pluto turns direct at 4°45′ Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 22 5:37 am Mars trine Neptune Ā· 9th and 1st houses
  • 23 11:32 am Sun enters Scorpio Ā· 8th house
  • 28 10:10 am Mercury turns direct at 19°19′ Libra Ā· 7th house
  • 29 9:37 am New Moon at 5°54′ Scorpio Ā· 8th house

Mercury is retrograde from the 7th to the 28th, from Scorpio (8th house) back into Libra (7th house): joint finances, contracts, couple conversations to pick up again, calmly if possible. The Aries Full Moon of October 15, at 21°59′, is your review of the year: what Saturn has taught you, what you keep, what you let go. Mars moves into Sagittarius on the evening of the 15th, in your 9th house: an urge to travel, to learn, to stand up for an idea; its trine to Neptune on the 22nd inspires. Pluto turns direct late on the 17th: your friendships regain a clear direction.

November: your career takes the lead again

  • 1 3:34 am Venus enters Sagittarius Ā· 9th house
  • 13 10:26 pm Full Moon at 21°32′ Taurus Ā· 2nd house
  • 15 7:47 am Mars trine Saturn Ā· 9th and 1st houses
  • 22 8:16 am Sun enters Sagittarius Ā· 9th house
  • 25 6:59 am Venus enters Capricorn Ā· 10th house
  • 25 1:37 pm Mars enters Capricorn Ā· 10th house
  • 27 10:24 pm New Moon at 5°39′ Sagittarius Ā· 9th house
  • 30 5:29 pm Mars square Neptune Ā· 10th and 1st houses

The Mars–Saturn trine of November 15 is the best day of the fall for moving a long-term project forward. Late that same evening, the Mars–Jupiter square warns against overdoing it at work: promise less, deliver better. On the 25th, Venus and Mars enter Capricorn together, in your 10th house: career, reputation and responsibilities take center stage for the end of the year. The Mars–Neptune square of the 30th asks you to clarify a fuzzy goal before charging ahead. The Taurus Full Moon of the 13th talks about income.

December: the year closes in good order

  • 13 11:09 am Full Moon at 21°25′ Gemini Ā· 3rd house
  • 15 4:43 am Neptune turns direct at 3°51′ Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 19 1:39 pm Venus enters Aquarius Ā· 11th house
  • 21 9:42 pm Sun enters Capricorn Ā· 10th house
  • 22 10:55 pm Mars square Saturn Ā· 10th and 1st houses
  • 23 9:49 pm Saturn turns direct at 21°01′ Aries Ā· 1st house
  • 27 3:12 pm New Moon at 5°50′ Capricorn Ā· 10th house

Neptune turns direct on the 15th, and Saturn on the evening of December 23, at 21°01′ of your sign: what you chose to carry in 2027 is now clear. The Mars–Saturn square of the 22nd, the night before, sums up the year: the pressure of a responsibility you now know how to hold. Venus in Aquarius from the 19th, in your 11th house, saves its best moments for friends. The Capricorn New Moon of the 27th, in your 10th house, is the moment to set your career intention for 2028, the year Saturn leaves your sign, on April 13.

Love, work, energy: the three threads of the year

Love

The first half is your best romantic stretch since 2015: Jupiter in your 5th house favors meeting people, flirting, plans for a child, the simple pleasure of being together. Three Venus periods matter: April 19 to May 14, in Aries, you attract without trying; July 27 to August 20, in Leo, romance mixes with eclipse season; September 13 to October 7, in Libra, your relationship settles down and commits. No Venus retrograde in 2027. The danger zones come from Mars: in Libra from July 15 to September 1, it opposes Neptune and then Saturn, and what has gone unsaid comes to the surface. The August 2 eclipse decides: what needs to become serious does, and what no longer holds ends.

Work and money

Work is the big project of the second half. Jupiter in Virgo, from July 26, expands your 6th house: more tasks, but also better conditions, a job that adjusts, coworkers who matter. Its square to Uranus on September 10 can change your tools or your hours. The start of the year is slower: Mars, retrograde in that same 6th house in January and February, holds back professional initiatives until it turns direct on April 1. For money, mark the spring (Venus in Taurus from May 14 to June 8, the Taurus New Moon on May 6) and be careful in October, when Mercury retrograde starts in your 8th house of shared finances. The end of the year, with Mars and Venus in Capricorn, puts your career front and center.

Energy and rhythm

Saturn in your sign doesn’t forgive burnout: it rewards regular sleep, exercise done every week rather than in bursts, and limits set early. Neptune makes you more porous to the mood and fatigue of the people around you; build in time alone. The low months are January and February, when your ruler Mars is retrograde; the strongest are April and late summer. Jupiter in your 6th house, from July 26, is the year’s best ally for setting up a routine that does you good.

Aries rising, or Aries without a birth time

If you have Aries rising, read this page too: the houses described here are then very close to your real houses (identical in whole sign houses), and Saturn and Neptune cross your 1st house. Then read the 2027 horoscope for your Sun sign: the two readings complement each other. If you don’t know your birth time, this reading by Sun sign and decan still holds; only the exact houses escape you. To understand the difference, see understanding your rising sign.

Your 2027 reflex

Finish what you start. Saturn in your sign doesn’t reward speed, and Jupiter in your 6th house from summer on pays for consistency more than for brilliance. Between April 3 and April 12, when everything gets moving again, pick one thing and stick with it through December.

This horoscope describes periods and themes, not a destiny: the planets show where the year calls on you, and the answer is yours. That is what we mean by understand rather than predict.

Aries in 2027: frequently asked questions

Is 2027 a good year for Aries?

Yes, as long as you accept its pace. Jupiter in Leo trines your sign until July 26 and meets Saturn in a trine twice (April 3 and July 11), which gives you a real chance to build something that lasts. The year also asks for effort: Saturn and Neptune are in your sign, and Mars, your ruler, is retrograde from January 10 to April 1. It is a year of building more than a year of ease.

What is the best month for Aries in 2027?

April. Mars turns direct on the 1st, Jupiter forms an exact trine to Saturn on the 3rd, the New Moon falls in your sign on the evening of the 6th, Jupiter turns direct late on the 12th, and no planet is retrograde from April 12 to May 8. Venus enters Aries just before midnight on April 19 and stays there until May 14.

When does Saturn leave Aries?

On April 13, 2028, at 12:04 am Eastern Time, when Saturn enters Taurus. In 2027 it advances to 27°53′ Aries on August 9, backs up to 21°01′ and turns direct on December 23. It entered the sign on February 13, 2026, so its passage through Aries lasts a little over two years in total.

When is Mars retrograde in 2027?

From January 10 (10°26′ Virgo) to April 1 (20°56′ Leo), with a shadow period that lasts until the night of June 7. For Aries, whose ruling planet is Mars, this is the stretch when energy and initiative need the most patience. It is the only Mars retrograde between 2025 and 2029.

Which Aries decan is most affected by Saturn in 2027?

The 3rd (born roughly April 10–19): Saturn reaches its degrees in late April and stays there through the end of the year, then until April 2028. The 2nd decan gets it from late January to late April, for the last time. The 1st decan is free of it from late January but keeps Neptune all year.

Does the August 2, 2027 eclipse affect Aries?

Yes. It falls at 9°55′ Leo, in your 5th house: love, creativity, children, pleasure. It closes or makes official what has been playing out there since summer 2026. It is not visible anywhere in North America; totality crosses southern Spain, North Africa and Egypt, lasting up to 6 minutes 23 seconds near Luxor. The next total eclipse over the contiguous US comes on August 23, 2044.

I’m an Aries rising: does this page apply to me?

Yes. Read it alongside the 2027 horoscope for your Sun sign: with Aries rising, the houses described here are very close to yours, and Saturn and Neptune cross your 1st house. A birth chart calculated with your exact birth time gives you the precise houses.
