Astrology 2027: The Dates That Matter and What They Set in Motion for Your Sign

2027 starts slow and ends in good order. Until July 26, every slow-moving planet sits in a fire or air sign ā ā Jupiter in Leo, Saturn and Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, Pluto in Aquarius ā and Mars spends the whole winter retrograde between Virgo and Leo. Then Jupiter enters Virgo, a total eclipse closes out Leo season, and the year changes register: less momentum, more sorting.
This page is the complete astrological calendar for 2027: exact dates in Eastern Time, the eight moments to put on your calendar, every retrograde, the eclipses, the twenty-five New and Full Moons, then a detailed reading for each of the twelve signs. We will update it as the year unfolds.
January 10: Mars retrograde at 10°26ā² Virgo, until April 1 (20°56ā² Leo). February 6: annular solar eclipse at 17°38ā² Aquarius. April 3 and 12: Jupiter trine Saturn, then Jupiter direct ā from the evening of April 12 to May 8, every planet moves forward. July 26, 12:45 am ET (4:45 am UTC): Jupiter enters Virgo after thirteen months in Leo. August 2: total solar eclipse at 9°55ā² Leo, the longest of the century over land. No Venus retrograde in 2027. Saturn turns direct on December 23 and leaves Aries on April 13, 2028.
The 2027 sky in one table: where the slow planets are
Before the dates, the backdrop. The slow-moving planets rarely change signs; they are what gives a year its background color. In 2027, only one of them does: Jupiter. The others stay exactly where 2026 left them.
| Planet | Sign in 2027 | From ā until | What it colors |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jupiter | Leo, then Virgo on July 26 | June 30, 2026 ā July 26, 2027, then ā August 24, 2028 | Expansion: first confidence and visibility, then method and work done well |
| Saturn | Aries | February 13, 2026 ā April 13, 2028 | Structure: learning to start, to decide alone, and to hold on |
| Uranus | Gemini | April 25, 2026 ā 2032ā2033 | Change: information, language, networks, mobility |
| Neptune | Aries | January 26, 2026 ā 2038ā2039 | The ideal: believing in something strongly enough to act on it |
| Pluto | Aquarius | November 19, 2024 ā 2043ā2044 | Transformation: collectives, technology, shared power |
| Lunar nodes | North in Aquarius, South in Leo | summer 2026 ā March 2028 | The eclipse axis: the group and the individual, what you bring and what you keep for yourself |
Two absences weigh as much as the presences. First, no slow planet occupies a water sign in 2027: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces hold none of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto all year. That hasnāt happened across a full calendar year since 2000. Second, Venus does not go retrograde: after its long loop through Scorpio and Libra in the fall of 2026, it moves forward without interruption until May 2028. Fire and air dominate, and nothing holds back: this is a year that moves outward.
The only sign change of the year, then, is Jupiterās move into Virgo. It falls on July 26, almost in the middle of summer. That is what cuts 2027 in two.
2027, a year in two halves: momentum, then sorting
From January 1 to July 26, Jupiter crosses the second half of Leo. Around it, Saturn and Neptune advance through Aries, Uranus through Gemini, Pluto and the North Node through Aquarius. Everything pushes toward assertion, visibility, speaking in public. But the momentum isnāt immediate: Mars backs up from January 10 to April 1, from Virgo into Leo, and Jupiter itself only turns direct on the evening of April 12. The first quarter is for rewriting your intentions; spring is for launching them.
Two appointments give this first half its backbone: Jupiter trine Saturn, on April 3 at 17°08ā² Leo and Aries, then on July 11 at 27°10ā². The trine between the planet of expansion and the planet of structure is the most constructive aspect of the cycle; in fire signs, it rewards what has genuinely been started, not what has merely been announced. Between the two passes, from April 12 to May 8, no planet is retrograde ā twenty-five days when everything moves in the same direction.
Then comes the hinge, in a single week. On July 26 at 12:45 am ET, Jupiter enters Virgo; the same day, at 9:31 am, Mars opposes Neptune. On August 2 at 6:05 am, the Leo New Moon is a total eclipse, at 9°55Ⲡof the sign. Jupiter left Leo a week earlier: the eclipse closes the season behind it.
The second half is for sorting. Jupiter in Virgo asks for proof, methods, schedules that hold; its square to Uranus on September 10 pits rigor against improvisation and forces a choice about what to keep. Saturn retrograde from August 9 to December 23 rereads the commitments made in spring. Mars works down through Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius, and the fall brings a third Mercury retrograde from October 7 to 28. No more launching: you tidy, repair, consolidate. And the yearās last aspect, a MarsāJupiter trine, lands late on December 30.
A word on how to read what follows. On ZodiacNova, we prefer to understand rather than predict: a transit date isnāt a prophecy, it is a moment when a theme rises in the conversation. The tables give exact times; the commentary says what those moments favor, not what they impose.
JanuaryāMarch 2027: a slow start
Nothing is urgent early in the year, and that is just as well. Jupiter has been retrograde since December 12, 2026, Mars joins it on January 10, Mercury on February 9, and Uranus doesnāt turn direct until February 8. From February 9 to March 3, Mars, Jupiter and Mercury are all retrograde at once: that is the heart of the slowdown. Februaryās two eclipses, in Aquarius then Virgo, open the yearās eclipse season. The equinox on March 20 gets things moving again, and Mars turns direct twelve days later.
| Date (ET) | Event | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| January 7, 3:53 am | Venus enters Sagittarius | Relationships widen; a pull toward elsewhere |
| January 10, 8:00 am | Mars retrograde at 10°26ⲠVirgo (until April 1) | The only Mars retrograde of the cycle: you redo your moves before you redo your choices |
| January 15, 2:21 am | Uranus sextile Neptune (1°56ā² GeminiāAries) | Backdrop of the year: new ideas that donāt collide |
| February 3, 9:30 am | Venus enters Capricorn | The heart turns serious, and reliable |
| February 6, 10:59 am | New Moon and annular solar eclipse at 17°38ⲠAquarius | A collective start, opposite Jupiter retrograde in Leo |
| February 8, 7:22 am | Uranus direct at 1°41ⲠGemini | What was stuck around information and networks comes loose |
| February 9, 12:35 pm | Mercury retrograde at 5°59ⲠPisces (until March 3) | Three planets retrograde at once: reread, reconfirm, postpone what can wait |
| February 17, 1:36 am | Mars retrograde square Uranus (1°43ā² VirgoāGemini), first pass | Frayed nerves; no sudden moves |
| February 20, 6:24 pm | Full Moon and penumbral lunar eclipse at 2°06ⲠVirgo (Moon just rising on the East Coast) | A quiet review of work and health |
| February 21, 9:15 am | Mars retrograde backs into Leo | The doubt changes object: from method to motivation |
| March 1, 1:32 am | Venus enters Aquarius | Friendships, groups, freer affections |
| March 3, 7:34 am | Mercury direct at 20°55ⲠAquarius | End of the retrograde trio; exchanges resume |
| March 20, 4:24 pm | Equinox, Sun enters Aries | Start of the astrological year |
| March 26, 4:16 am | Venus enters Pisces | Tenderness and haze, before a spring of fire |
The detail that matters: Mars retrograde isnāt Mercury retrograde. It doesnāt scramble messages, it slows action. The project moves, but by detour: you redo a move done badly, repeat a step, find the reason you started in the first place. We lay out the mechanism on our Mars retrograde page, and the full Mercury calendar in Mercury Retrograde 2027.
AprilāJune 2027: the restart
Spring gives back everything winter held. Mars turns direct on April 1, Jupiter trines Saturn two days later, and Jupiter itself gets moving on the evening of the 12th. Then the clearest window of the year opens: from April 12 to May 8, no planet is retrograde. Pluto backs up from May 8, Mercury from June 10, but the ground stays supportive: Uranus trine Pluto on June 15 is the first of three passes of an aspect that runs until May 2028.
| Date (ET) | Event | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| April 1, 10:11 am | Mars direct at 20°56ⲠLeo | Action restarts, with what it has learned |
| April 3, 9:22 am | Jupiter trine Saturn (17°08ā² LeoāAries), first pass | Ambition finds its structure |
| April 12, 10:13 pm | Jupiter direct at 17°00ⲠLeo | Start of 25 days with no retrograde at all |
| April 19, 11:56 pm | Venus enters Aries | Direct desire, fast declarations |
| May 8, 8:14 am | Pluto retrograde at 7°11ⲠAquarius (until October 17) | Power dynamics get revised from the inside |
| May 14, 10:47 am | Mars returns to Virgo | Back on Januaryās ground; shadow ends June 7 |
| May 14, 5:01 pm | Venus enters Taurus | Concrete pleasures, stability |
| May 28, 10:13 pm | Mars square Uranus (5°52ā² VirgoāGemini), second pass | Technical impatience; check before you force |
| June 6, 8:03 am | Uranus sextile Neptune (6°22ā²), second pass | Intuition and invention agree |
| June 8, 8:31 am | Venus enters Gemini | Curiosity, conversation, lightness |
| June 10, 2:18 pm | Mercury retrograde at 6°22ⲠCancer (until July 4) | Family, home, memories to reread |
| June 15, 4:01 am | Uranus trine Pluto (6°52ā² GeminiāAquarius), first of 3 passes | Technology and collectives change scale, without crisis |
| June 21, 10:10 am | Solstice, Sun enters Cancer | Midpoint of the year |
| June 28, 4:34 pm | Neptune sextile Pluto (6°38ā² AriesāAquarius) | Ideals and collective change pulling the same way |
If you have a launch, a signing, a move or an application to schedule in 2027, the window from April 12 to May 8 is the easiest to defend. It is short. The Aries New Moon, on April 6 at 7:51 pm, comes six days before Jupiterās direct station: that is the moment to put it into words; April 12, the moment to begin.
JulyāSeptember 2027: the hinge
This is the quarter that changes the year. Jupiter trines Saturn a second time on July 11, then enters Virgo on July 26, the day Mars opposes Neptune. On August 2, the total eclipse in Leo closes the first half; on August 9, Saturn turns retrograde for the rest of the year. September settles the second half in: Jupiter square Uranus on the 10th, Uranus retrograde on the 15th. The momentum is behind you; ahead, the sorting.
| Date (ET) | Event | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| July 2, 10:00 pm | Venus enters Cancer | Back toward your own people |
| July 4, 3:40 pm | Mercury direct at 27°28ā² Gemini | Exchanges resume ā on the Fourth of July |
| July 9, 6:50 pm | Neptune retrograde at 6°40ⲠAries (until December 15) | Ideals get tested against reality |
| July 11, 6:45 pm | Jupiter trine Saturn (27°10ā² LeoāAries), second pass | Fireās last reward: what was built holds |
| July 15, 1:40 am | Mars enters Libra | Action becomes negotiation |
| July 26, 12:45 am | Jupiter enters Virgo (until August 24, 2028) | The hinge: from momentum to method |
| July 26, 9:31 am | Mars opposite Neptune (6°35ā² LibraāAries) | A vague promise calls for a clear contract |
| July 27, 8:29 am | Venus enters Leo | Generosity, showmanship, pride in love |
| July 30, 12:59 pm | Mars trine Uranus (9°04ā² LibraāGemini) | An unexpected solution, to grab fast |
| August 2, 6:05 am | New Moon and total solar eclipse at 9°55ā² Leo | End of a chapter for Leo; the centuryās longest total eclipse over land |
| August 9, 1:52 pm | Saturn retrograde at 27°53ā² Aries (until December 23) | Rereading springās commitments |
| August 17, 3:29 am | Full Moon and penumbral lunar eclipse at 24°12ⲠAquarius | The group answers the individual |
| August 20, 3:41 pm | Venus enters Virgo | Affection through useful gestures |
| August 29, 3:29 am | Mars opposite Saturn (27°33ā² LibraāAries) | A wall, or a limit to respect |
| September 1, 9:51 pm | Mars enters Scorpio | Action goes deep |
| September 9, 2:37 pm | Mars square Pluto (5°04ā² ScorpioāAquarius) | A power struggle; donāt force it |
| September 10, 12:36 pm | Jupiter square Uranus (9°57ā² VirgoāGemini) | Method versus improvisation: choose what to keep |
| September 13, 8:24 pm | Venus enters Libra | Balance, elegance, agreements |
| September 15, 5:15 am | Uranus retrograde at 9°57ⲠGemini (until February 12, 2028) | The new gets sorted |
| September 19, 8:29 pm | Mars sextile Jupiter (11°57ā² ScorpioāVirgo) | A well-placed effort pays off |
| September 23, 2:01 am | Equinox, Sun enters Libra | Into the fall |
Note the coincidence of September 10: Jupiter square Uranus forms at 9°57ⲠVirgo and Gemini, and Uranus comes to a standstill five days later at exactly that degree. An aspect that lands on a station is held longer than usual: the square colors all of September, not a single day.
OctoberāDecember 2027: putting things in order
The last quarter consolidates. Mercury goes retrograde a third time from October 7 to 28, from Scorpio into Libra; Pluto turns direct on October 17; Mars, in Sagittarius then Capricorn, forms its last aspects to the slow planets. December lets go: Neptune direct on the 15th, Saturn direct on the 23rd, at 21°01ā² Aries ā the exact degree Mars squares the evening before. On December 30 at 11:33 pm, Mars trine Jupiter closes the year on an agreement.
| Date (ET) | Event | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| October 7, 10:40 am | Mercury retrograde at 4°56ⲠScorpio (until October 28) | Shared money, secrets, contracts to reread |
| October 7, 11:58 pm | Venus enters Scorpio | Intense attachments |
| October 15, 7:13 pm | Mars enters Sagittarius | Action gets room again |
| October 16, 2:03 pm | Neptune sextile Pluto (4°45ā²), second pass | Collective causes find their story |
| October 17, 11:51 pm | Pluto direct at 4°45ⲠAquarius | What has been revised since May falls into place |
| October 22 | Mars trine Neptune (5:37 am) and sextile Pluto (10:32 am) | Acting for an idea, with backing |
| October 28 | Mercury direct at 19°19ⲠLibra (10:10 am); Mars opposite Uranus (2:06 pm) | End of the last Mercury retrograde; a break in rhythm the same afternoon |
| November 1, 3:34 am | Venus enters Sagittarius | The heart looks far ahead |
| November 15 | Mars trine Saturn (7:47 am) then square Jupiter (11:07 pm) | Discipline rewarded, excess penalized: the same day |
| November 25 | Venus (6:59 am) and Mars (1:37 pm) enter Capricorn | Love and action turn serious together, on Thanksgiving Day |
| November 30, 5:29 pm | Mars square Neptune (3°55ā² CapricornāAries) | Fatigue or illusion; check the facts |
| December 15, 4:43 am | Neptune direct at 3°51ⲠAries | Ideals find a direction again |
| December 19, 1:39 pm | Venus enters Aquarius | Free affections, friendships |
| December 21, 9:42 pm | Solstice, Sun enters Capricorn | Into winter |
| December 22, 10:55 pm | Mars square Saturn (21°01ā² CapricornāAries) | One last brake, exactly on the degree of Saturnās station |
| December 23, 9:49 pm | Saturn direct at 21°01ⲠAries | What has been reread since August gets moving; Saturn leaves Aries on April 13, 2028 |
| December 30, 11:33 pm | Mars trine Jupiter (27°17ā² CapricornāVirgo) | The year ends on an agreement between effort and meaning |
October 28 sums up the fall: Mercury turns direct at 10:10 am, and Mars opposes Uranus at 2:06 pm. You get your words back in the morning, and by mid-afternoon a piece of news changes the plan. Fall 2027 isnāt slow, it is methodical: it asks you to finish one thing before opening the next.
The eight dates of 2027 to put on your calendar
If you keep only eight lines from this page, keep these. They cover the changes of direction, the sign changes and the two solar eclipses; times are Eastern.
January 10 ā Mars retrograde, until April 1
Mars comes to a standstill at 10°26ā² Virgo on January 10 at 8:00 am, backs into Leo on February 21 and turns direct on April 1 at 10:11 am, at 20°56ā² Leo. Its shadow period is long: Mars first reaches 20°56ā² Leo on November 5, 2026 and only returns to 10°26ā² Virgo late on June 7, 2027. Seven months on the same ground, from method (Virgo) to motivation (Leo). This is the only Mars retrograde between February 2025 and February 2029: what gets revised here wonāt be revised again soon.
February 6 ā annular solar eclipse in Aquarius
At 10:59 am, the Aquarius New Moon is an annular eclipse, at 17°38Ⲡof the sign, opposite Jupiter retrograde in Leo within five degrees. Visible from the South Pacific to Argentina, invisible from the United States. Three days later, Mercury turns retrograde: from February 9 to March 3, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter are all moving backward. This is the stretch of the year when it is most reasonable to launch nothing and reread everything.
April 3 and 12 ā Jupiter trine Saturn, then Jupiter direct
On April 3 at 9:22 am, Jupiter (still retrograde) and Saturn form an exact trine at 17°08ā² Leo and Aries. On April 12 at 10:13 pm, Jupiter stops at 17°00ā² Leo and moves forward again. That opens the only window of the year with no planet retrograde, until May 8 at 8:14 am. The trine re-forms on July 11 at 6:45 pm, at 27°10ā²: what is undertaken in April finds its confirmation in July.
June 15 ā Uranus trine Pluto, first pass
At 4:01 am, Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius form an exact trine at 6°52ā². The aspect returns on January 13 and May 9, 2028. Two air planets, two generations of transformation: tools and information (Uranus), collective structures (Pluto). The trine is fluid; it imposes nothing, it accelerates what was already moving. The sextiles from Uranus to Neptune (January 15, June 6) and from Neptune to Pluto (June 28, October 16) complete this background of the year, discreet and supportive.
July 26 ā Jupiter enters Virgo
At 12:45 am, Jupiter leaves Leo after thirteen months and enters Virgo, where it stays until August 24, 2028. The same day at 9:31 am, Mars in Libra opposes Neptune in Aries. The day has two faces: one opens a cycle of method, work and health, the other confronts a desire with an illusion. For Virgo, it is the start of a banner year; for everyone, it is the moment to move from intention to instructions.
August 2 ā total solar eclipse in Leo
At 6:05 am, the Leo New Moon is a total eclipse at 9°55ā² of the sign. Totality lasts up to 6 minutes 23 seconds near Luxor, Egypt ā the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century visible from land. The path of totality crosses southern Spain (CĆ”diz, MĆ”laga), Gibraltar, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia. None of it is visible from North America; London sees 42% of the Sun covered at 10:00 am local time, Madrid 86%. The next total eclipse over the contiguous United States comes on August 23, 2044, then coast to coast on August 12, 2045. Mars and Uranus, at ten degrees of Libra and Gemini, frame the eclipse point with two sextiles: the end of a chapter is also an opening.
September 10 ā Jupiter square Uranus
At 12:36 pm, Jupiter in Virgo and Uranus in Gemini form an exact square at 9°57ā². Uranus comes to a standstill on September 15 at that same degree, then moves retrograde until February 12, 2028. The square between the two mutable signs pits two ways of learning against each other: method and the leap. In September 2027, neither should shut out the other; the month rewards those who change tools without changing goals.
December 23 ā Saturn direct, after Neptune on the 15th
Neptune turns direct on December 15 at 4:43 am, at 3°51ā² Aries; Saturn on December 23 at 9:49 pm, at 21°01ā² Aries. The evening before, at 10:55 pm, Mars in Capricorn formed an exact square to that same degree: one last brake just before the restart. Saturn has only three and a half months left in Aries ā it moves into Taurus on April 13, 2028. What you have built since February 2026 is judged now.
Every retrograde of 2027, and the planet that skips it
The table below gathers the yearās stations, in Eastern Time. A retrograde planet doesnāt actually move backward: seen from Earth, it appears to retrace its steps for a few weeks or months. In astrology, that phase is one of revision. We go into each case on our retrogrades hub.
| Planet | Retrograde | Direct | Path |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercury | February 9, 12:35 pm Ā· June 10, 2:18 pm Ā· October 7, 10:40 am | March 3, 7:34 am Ā· July 4, 3:40 pm Ā· October 28, 10:10 am | Pisces ā Aquarius Ā· Cancer ā Gemini Ā· Scorpio ā Libra |
| Venus | None in 2027 | Last: October 3 ā November 13, 2026 Ā· Next: May 10 ā June 22, 2028 (Gemini) | |
| Mars | January 10, 8:00 am (10°26ā² Virgo) | April 1, 10:11 am (20°56ā² Leo) | Virgo ā Leo Ā· shadow from November 5, 2026 to June 7, 2027 |
| Jupiter | December 12, 2026, 7:58 pm (27°01ⲠLeo) | April 12, 10:13 pm (17°00ⲠLeo) | Leo · next: January 12, 2028 (27°31ⲠVirgo) |
| Saturn | August 9, 1:52 pm (27°53ⲠAries) | December 23, 9:49 pm (21°01ⲠAries) | Aries |
| Uranus | September 15, 5:15 am (9°57ⲠGemini) | February 12, 2028, 6:39 pm (5°56ⲠGemini) | Gemini · direct from February 8 to September 15 |
| Neptune | July 9, 6:50 pm (6°40ⲠAries) | December 15, 4:43 am (3°51ⲠAries) | Aries |
| Pluto | May 8, 8:14 am (7°11ⲠAquarius) | October 17, 11:51 pm (4°45ⲠAquarius) | Aquarius |
Three practical consequences. From April 12 to May 8, no planet is retrograde: that is the yearās window for starting. From February 9 to March 3, three personal and social planets move backward at the same time: that is the window for finishing. And Venus does not go retrograde: the love and money stories of 2027 are spared the forced rewind that the fall of 2026 imposed on so many people ā we followed it in our article on Venus retrograde in Scorpio.
The eclipses of 2027: the AquariusāLeo axis
Three of the four eclipses of 2027 fall on the axis of the lunar nodes, AquariusāLeo; the fourth, Februaryās lunar eclipse, falls in Virgo. In astrology, an eclipse accelerates the theme of the house it lands in; the two solar eclipses, in February and August, matter most. To find out which house is involved for you, read your sign below, then your rising sign.
| Date (ET) | Eclipse | Position | Visibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| February 6, 10:59 am | Annular solar | 17°38ⲠAquarius | South Pacific, Chile, Argentina, Atlantic; partial across South America. Not visible from the United States. |
| February 20, 6:12 pm | Penumbral lunar | 2°06ⲠVirgo | Moon barely above the horizon on the East Coast at maximum, still below it farther west; the dimming is very slight anyway. |
| August 2, 6:05 am | Total solar | 9°55ⲠLeo | Total in southern Spain, Morocco, North Africa, Egypt and Arabia. Partial across Europe: 42% in London, 86% in Madrid, 92% in Lisbon. Not visible from North America. |
| August 17, 3:13 am | Penumbral lunar | 24°12ⲠAquarius | Visible from all of North America, with the Moon high in the middle of the night; also from South America and the Pacific. Moon already set in Europe. |
The Full Moon of July 18, at 25°49ā² Capricorn, grazes Earthās penumbra for thirteen minutes: astronomical tables count it as a penumbral eclipse, astrological calendars ignore it, and so do we. The two eclipses that count are February 6 and August 2. The first opposes Jupiter retrograde; the second receives sextiles from Mars and Uranus. For the mechanics of the axis, see the North Node, the South Node and the lunar nodes cycle.
New Moon and Full Moon calendar for 2027 (Eastern Time)
A New Moon opens a four-week cycle on the theme of its sign; the Full Moon, two weeks later, shows the result. The two solar eclipses are marked ā¦. The degrees are for those who read their birth chart: a lunation within two degrees of one of your planets weighs more than the others.

Two lunations deserve a spot on the calendar beyond the eclipses: the Aries New Moon of April 6, six days before Jupiterās direct station, and the Virgo New Moon of August 31, the first in the sign since Jupiter arrived ā the right moment to write the instructions for the second half of the year.
Astrology 2027 sign by sign
The readings below use solar houses: your sign sits in the 1st house, and we look at which houses Leo, Virgo, Aries, Gemini and Aquarius fall in ā the signs where 2027 plays out. The method is simple and reliable, but approximate: if you know your rising sign, read that signās text too; it is often more precise. For each sign, youāll find the houses touched by Jupiter before and after July 26, by Saturn, by the eclipses and by Mars retrograde, then the useful reflex for the year.
Aries: your year in 2027
Saturn has been crossing your sign since February 2026 and stays until April 2028: 2027 is the central year of that passage, the one where you stop enduring it and start using it. It asks you to choose what you truly carry and drop the rest. Meanwhile, Jupiter in Leo lights up your 5th house ā creativity, children, romance, play ā until July 26, and Mars retrograde comes back through it from February 21 to April 1 after a pass through your 6th house of work: a personal project or a relationship questioned in January finds its meaning again in spring. The JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3, between your 5th house and your 1st, is your best moment of the year.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 6th house: pleasure becomes a craft, talent becomes routine, and that is good news for anyone who wants to last. The total eclipse of August 2 still falls in your 5th house: what was created in the first half closes or becomes official. The Aquarius eclipses, in your 11th house, renew your circles and your group projects. Uranus in your 3rd house shakes up your commutes and how you communicate; Pluto in your 11th house transforms your network for good.
Finish what you start. Saturn in your sign doesnāt reward speed, and Jupiter in your 6th house from summer on pays for consistency more than for brilliance.
Taurus: your year in 2027
Jupiter in Leo occupies your 4th house until July 26: home, family, roots, your interior. A move, renovations, a return to your people or a reconciliation carry real weight in the first half. Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1, after passing through your 5th house: a domestic decision made quickly in January gets renegotiated. Saturn in your 12th house continues its background work, invisible and useful: it closes chapters, asks for rest, prepares its arrival in your sign in April 2028.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 5th house, the one of pleasure, romance, creativity and children: the second half is lighter, more visible, more playful. The solar eclipse of August 2, in your 4th house, closes the family cycle of spring; the one on February 6, in your 10th house, had opened a professional chapter. Uranus in your 2nd house keeps transforming your income and your relationship to possessions, and Pluto in your 10th house your place in the world. The window from April 12 to May 8, with the Sun in your sign from the 20th, is your best moment to close a deal.
Settle household matters before summer. What is in order at home on July 26 clears room for what Jupiter brings next.
Gemini: your year in 2027
Uranus has been in your sign since April 2026 and stays until 2033: you are the sign the air of 2027 hits head-on. The UranusāPluto trine of June 15, between your 1st house and your 9th, pushes you to change frame ā training, travel, country, conviction ā without a rupture. Jupiter in Leo occupies your 3rd house until July 26: words, contracts, trips, siblings, learning; this is the half-year when people hear you. Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1, after your 4th house: an agreement or a trip postponed in January gets settled in spring.
On July 26, Jupiter enters your 4th house: home, family, base. The second half brings you home, in the broad sense. The JupiterāUranus square of September 10 falls between that 4th house and your sign: the tension between what you want to change and what anchors you calls for a decision, not an escape. The Aquarius eclipses in your 9th house and the Leo eclipses in your 3rd mark out a year of study or publishing. Saturn in your 11th house sorts your friendships and your group commitments.
Change the tool, keep the goal. Uranus in your sign and Jupiter in your 3rd house multiply ideas; September rewards the one you carry through.
Cancer: your year in 2027
Jupiter in Leo occupies your 2nd house until July 26: income, possessions, what you are worth and what you ask for. The first half is good for renegotiating, selling or raising your rates, especially between April 12 and May 8. Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1, after your 3rd house: an invoice, a contract or a fee discussed in January gets settled in spring. Saturn in your 10th house since 2026 weighs on career and reputation: the responsibilities are real, recognition comes slowly, and the JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3 links your money precisely to your position.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 3rd house: speech, writing, trips, training, siblings. The second half makes you a messenger, and the Virgo New Moon of August 31 is a good start for learning something new. The Aquarius eclipses in your 8th house and the Leo eclipses in your 2nd frame a year when shared money and your own money get redistributed. Mercury is retrograde in your sign from June 10 to July 4, during your season: reread before you sign. Uranus in your 12th house works deep down, without noise.
Put a number on it before you promise. Jupiter in your 2nd house in the first half keeps its promises to those who have done the math.
Leo: your year in 2027
You are the sign of the first half of 2027. Jupiter crosses your 1st house until July 26: confidence, visibility, opportunities, a touch of excess. The JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3, then July 11, links your person to your 9th house of convictions and travel: what you assert finds a frame. Mars retrograde in your sign from February 21 to April 1, after your 2nd house, is the delicate moment of winter ā fatigue, impatience, a desire that doubts itself. It turns direct in your sign at 20°56ā²: Leos born August 12ā15 feel it most.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 2nd house: now you have to monetize what the first half made visible. On August 2, the total eclipse falls in your sign, at 9°55ā² ā those born July 31 to August 3 are at the center ā and closes a chapter of identity opened when Jupiter arrived in June 2026. The South Node in Leo since summer 2026 asks you to give rather than hold back; the Aquarius eclipses, in your 7th house, raise the question of partnership and alliances. Pluto in your 7th house has been raising it since 2024.
Cash in before summer, literally. Jupiter in your sign opens doors until July 26; whatever hasnāt been turned into an action, a contract or an income by then remains a nice intention.
Virgo: your year in 2027
You are the sign of the second half of 2027, and the year starts by making you wait. Mars turns retrograde in your sign on January 10, at 10°26ā² ā Virgos born September 1ā5 feel it most ā and backs toward your 12th house until April 1. Jupiter, for its part, finishes its passage through your 12th house: review, retreat, the end of a twelve-year cycle that began in 2015. The first half is a preparation; donāt judge it on results.
On July 26 at 12:45 am, Jupiter enters your sign for thirteen months. It is the start of your big year, the one that comes around every twelve years: opportunities, confidence, visibility, openness. The Virgo New Moon of August 31, then your season, set the first acts. The JupiterāUranus square of September 10, between your sign and your 10th house, pits a method that looks like you against a career that wants to change: the answer is to change tools, not rigor. Saturn in your 8th house reorganizes shared money and inheritances; the Aquarius eclipses in your 6th house put work and health back on the table.
Say yes from July 26 on. You weigh risks better than anyone; this year, the mistake would be weighing one too many.
Libra: your year in 2027
Saturn in Aries, in your 7th house, is the baseline of 2027: partnership, alliances and contracts go through a stress test, and whatever still stands in April 2028 will stand for a long time. The JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3, between your 11th house and that 7th, helps a partner or an ally take their place. Jupiter in Leo occupies your 11th house until July 26: friendships, networks, causes, group projects; Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1 after your 12th house. A collective project hesitates in winter and relaunches in spring.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 12th house: the last year before it reaches your sign in August 2028 is one of review and preparation. The same day, Mars, in your sign since July 15, opposes Neptune: the temptation of illusion in a relationship is strong, and the answer is a clear contract. Mars opposite Saturn on August 29, from your sign toward your 7th house, is the day of the year not to force anything. The Leo eclipses in your 11th house and the Aquarius eclipses in your 5th connect your friendships to your love life.
Put agreements in writing. Saturn in your 7th house doesnāt judge love, it judges terms; and the opposition to Neptune on July 26 shows what had gone unsaid.
Scorpio: your year in 2027
Jupiter in Leo occupies your 10th house until July 26: career, reputation, public standing. It is your best professional half-year in a long time, and the JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3, between that 10th house and your 6th house of daily work, links ambition to competence. Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1 after your 11th house: a promotion, an application or an assignment hesitates in winter and comes through in spring. Saturn in your 6th house since 2026 imposes order on work and health: schedules, body, limits.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 11th house: the second half widens your network, alliances and group projects; what you gained in position converts into support. The eclipse of August 2 in your 10th house makes something official or closes it; the one on February 6, in your 4th house, had touched home. Mars crosses your sign from September 1 to October 15, and Mercury is retrograde there from October 7 to 28, during your season: fall asks you to reread what was said too fast. Pluto in your 4th house keeps transforming your foundations.
Accept being seen. Jupiter in your 10th house only works for those who step out of the shadows before July 26.
Sagittarius: your year in 2027
Jupiter is your ruling planet: its year is your year. Until July 26, it crosses your 9th house ā travel, study, publishing, convictions ā in a fire sign, in trine to your own element. The JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3, between that 9th house and your 5th, links a long-term project to a creative one or to children. Mars retrograde backs from your 10th house into your 9th from January 10 to April 1: a departure or a course questioned in winter gets decided in spring.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 10th house: career, recognition, responsibility. The second half asks you to account for what you have learned, and rewards you for it. The JupiterāUranus square of September 10, between your 10th house and your 7th, puts career and partner or associate in tension: one personās calendar isnāt the otherās. The Aquarius eclipses in your 3rd house and the Leo eclipses in your 9th speed up learning. Mars in your sign from October 15 to November 25 relaunches your energy; Saturn in your 5th house structures pleasure and creative projects.
Learn before July, prove after. Jupiter in your 10th house this fall doesnāt ask what you know, but what you do with it.
Capricorn: your year in 2027
Jupiter in Leo occupies your 8th house until July 26: shared money, loans, inheritances, intimacy, deep transformation. The first half settles fundamental questions, sometimes heavy, often liberating; the JupiterāSaturn trine of April 3, between that 8th house and your 4th, helps resolve a family or real estate matter. Mars retrograde backs from your 9th house into your 8th from January 10 to April 1: a filing or a loan called into question in winter gets resolved in spring. Saturn, your planet, in your 4th house asks you to consolidate the base ā home, family, roots.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 9th house: the second half opens up ā travel, study, publishing, horizon. Saturn retrograde from August 9 to December 23 concerns you more than the others: reread what has been built since February 2026 before it leaves Aries in April 2028. The Aquarius eclipses in your 2nd house and the Leo eclipses in your 8th redistribute your own money and shared money. Mars enters your sign on November 25, squares Saturn on December 22, trines Jupiter on the 30th: the end of the year hands you back the controls.
Settle shared accounts in the first half. Jupiter in your 8th house until July 26 makes possible what was blocked; after that, it looks elsewhere.
Aquarius: your year in 2027
You are the other sign of the eclipse axis. On February 6, the annular eclipse falls in your sign, at 17°38ā² ā those born February 5ā8 are at the center ā and opens a chapter of identity opposite Jupiter in Leo, in your 7th house. Jupiter stays there until July 26: partnership, association, contract, the other person in general. Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1, after your 8th house: a relationship or a partnership hesitates in winter and is confirmed in spring. The UranusāPluto trine of June 15, between your sign and your 5th house, is yours: it changes how you create and how you love.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 8th house: what the partnership or the association has built gets shared ā money, assets, intimacy, commitment. The total eclipse of August 2, in your 7th house, closes or makes official. The North Node in your sign since summer 2026 asks you to embody your singularity without setting it against the group; Pluto in your sign since 2024 keeps transforming its foundations, and those born in late January live it closest in 2027. Saturn in your 3rd house disciplines speech and travel.
Choose the other person in full daylight. Between the February 6 eclipse in your sign and the August 2 eclipse across from it, 2027 asks you to say clearly who you are moving forward with.
Pisces: your year in 2027
Saturn and Neptune left your sign in 2026; 2027 is the first full year without them, and many Pisces will find it lighter than the previous three. Both planets now sit in your 2nd house: income and the value of your work become the project ā concrete for Saturn, idealistic for Neptune. Jupiter in Leo occupies your 6th house until July 26: daily work, health, routines, coworkers; Mars retrograde backs through it from February 21 to April 1, after your 7th house. Mercury turns retrograde in your sign on February 9, on the eve of your season, and only gets moving again on March 3: reread before you decide.
On July 26, Jupiter moves into your 7th house: partnership, association, a decisive encounter. The second half belongs to the other person, and it is the most promising stretch of the year for anyone who wants to commit. The total eclipse of August 2, in your 6th house, closes the work-and-health cycle opened in spring; the one on February 6, in your 12th house, had closed an inner door. Uranus in your 4th house keeps reshaping where you live or your family; Pluto in your 12th house works at the deepest level.
Tend to daily life before opening the door. Jupiter in your 6th house until July 26 puts work and body in order; in your 7th house after that, it lets someone into a space worth entering.
Frequently asked questions about astrology in 2027
What is the most important astrological date of 2027?
July 26, 2027: Jupiter leaves Leo and enters Virgo at 12:45 am Eastern Time, the same day Mars opposes Neptune. It is the only sign change by a slow-moving planet all year, and it cuts 2027 in two: a first half turned toward assertion and visibility, a second toward method and sorting. The total solar eclipse of August 2, at 9°55ⲠLeo, closes the first half a week later.
When does Jupiter enter Virgo in 2027?
On July 26, 2027 at 12:45 am Eastern Time (4:45 am UTC) ā which is still July 25 at 9:45 pm on the West Coast. Jupiter had been in Leo since June 30, 2026; it stays in Virgo until August 24, 2028, then moves into Libra. It will be retrograde there from January 12 to May 13, 2028. For Virgo, this begins the Jupiter year that comes around every twelve years; for the other signs, the solar house involved is given in the sign-by-sign section.
Is Venus retrograde in 2027?
No. Venus does not go retrograde in 2027. Its last retrograde ran from October 3 to November 13, 2026, from Scorpio into Libra, and the next runs from May 10 to June 22, 2028, entirely in Gemini. The Venus cycle lasts eight years and holds five retrogrades: three years out of eight have none, and 2027 is one of them. Love and money questions face no forced rewind this year.
When is Mars retrograde in 2027?
From January 10, 2027 at 8:00 am (10°26ⲠVirgo) to April 1, 2027 at 10:11 am (20°56ⲠLeo), Eastern Time. Mars backs into Leo on February 21 and returns to Virgo on May 14. Its shadow period runs from November 5, 2026, when it first reaches 20°56ⲠLeo, to the night of June 7, 2027, when it gets back to 10°26ⲠVirgo. It is the only Mars retrograde between February 2025 and February 2029.
When is the total solar eclipse of 2027, and can you see it from the US?
On August 2, 2027, at 6:05 am Eastern Time, at 9°55ā² Leo ā and no, nothing of it is visible from North America. Totality crosses southern Spain (CĆ”diz, MĆ”laga, Gibraltar), Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia, reaching 6 minutes 23 seconds near Luxor, the longest of the century over land. The next total eclipse over the contiguous United States comes on August 23, 2044, then coast to coast on August 12, 2045. Never look at the Sun without certified eclipse glasses.
Which zodiac signs are most affected in 2027?
Leo and Virgo, which Jupiter crosses in turn and where Mars is retrograde in winter; Leo also receives the total eclipse of August 2. Aquarius, with the February 6 eclipse, Pluto and the North Node in the sign. Aries, where Saturn and Neptune continue their passage. And Gemini, where Uranus forms its trine to Pluto. Rising signs in these five feel it as much as Sun signs do: calculate yours if you donāt know it.
When does Saturn leave Aries?
On April 13, 2028, a few minutes after midnight Eastern Time (12:04 am). Saturn entered Aries on February 13, 2026 (after a first pass from May 24 to September 1, 2025). In 2027, it is retrograde from August 9 (27°53ā²) to December 23 (21°01ā²). It will leave Aries for good: the last chance to settle what it asks there ā starting, deciding alone, holding on ā runs from December 23, 2027 to April 13, 2028.
When is Mercury retrograde in 2027?
Three times, in Eastern Time: from February 9 (12:35 pm) to March 3 (7:34 am), from Pisces into Aquarius; from June 10 (2:18 pm) to July 4 (3:40 pm), from Cancer into Gemini; and from October 7 (10:40 am) to October 28 (10:10 am), from Scorpio into Libra. Each time, Mercury starts in a water sign and ends in an air sign. Our detailed Mercury retrograde 2027 calendar gives the shadow periods and a reading for each sign.
Do these dates apply everywhere in the US and abroad?
The times are Eastern, with daylight saving from March 14 to November 7. The astronomical instant is the same for everyone, but the local date can shift. On the West Coast, subtract three hours: Jupiter enters Virgo on July 25 at 9:45 pm Pacific, not July 26, and the September equinox falls on the 22nd at 11:01 pm. In the other direction, Jupiter turns direct on April 13 in London and across Europe, and Saturn turns direct there on December 24. Our other language editions use local times.
